GAN has been awarded £140,000 by the Big Lottery Fund for a large post-earthquake project in the heavily affected Dolakha district.

Following our merger with the UK-registered charity House of Hope, GAN will be turning their large facility on the edge of Kathmandu Valley into a major training center for education, disaster risk reduction.

Later this month Dmitry Tertychnyy, a sixth-form student at Charterhouse School, will be attempting to climb Mount Everest – the last peak in the Seven Summits challenge he and his father have set themselves.

On Friday 17th November schools across the UK and Nepal will be taking part in a joint fundraising event – RUN FOR NEPAL – to raise funds for the GAN – CONNECT programme.

GAN is delighted to announce that it will be working with Charterhouse School, having been nominated its official charity for the first term of the school year.

Dmitry Tertychnyy, a sixth-form student at Charterhouse School and GAN Youth Ambassador, has made a successful ascent of Mount Everest.
