RUN FOR NEPAL 2017

On Friday 17th November, children in schools across the UK and Nepal will be coming together to Run for Nepal, to raise money for schools involved in Global Action Nepal’s GAN-Connect Programme. GAN has been working with many of these schools and their communities since the 2015 earthquakes, supporting their reconstruction and long-term recovery. Going forward, GAN will continue to support them to develop minimum levels of infrastructure, a child-friendly learning environment and strengthen community engagement and support – key areas of GAN’s community education approach.

Although this event has been organized for schools which are involved in Global Action Nepal’s school-linking programme, any schools in the UK (or further afield) are welcome to join us. This year we will be holding the event as a relay, with the Nepali schools starting first, and UK schools picking up the baton/flag to run the second leg at 10 am.
